Why Corsair

You have a day job. The event shouldn't be a second one.

Most corporate events in DC get planned by someone who also runs HR, the office, or the whole department. Corsair takes the coordination off your plate: planning, catering, bar service, staffing and AV, all under one flexible contract, with a dedicated account manager looking after you end to end.

We move fast. Speed to contract is one of the reasons planners come to us, and our staff is non-union, so you're not navigating a maze of venue rules to host your own event.

Choose from multiple venues with their own personality: the six floors of the historic National Union Building, the 13,000 sq ft indoor-outdoor Hook Hall, the 70,000 sq ft Kraken, The Square, and District Still & Supply Co. Annual meetings, holiday parties, offsites, product launches, team days. We deliver the unexpected.

The Venues
Conference-style seating facing three screens at The Square
The Square: conference-style setup for presentations and meetings.
A bright lounge area with plants and armchairs at The Square
The Square: a lounge for networking and receptions.
A long dinner table set for a group in a bright room at the National Union Building
National Union Building: long-table dinners in a historic setting.
Team Days

Not every offsite belongs in a ballroom.

People roller skating together at Kraken
Kraken: an indoor roller rink for team events.
Two people on the Kraken games floor with a ball cart
Kraken: pickleball, table tennis, darts, shuffleboard and a beer garden.

What planners ask before they book

Let's clear a few things up.

Isn't this just another venue rental, or a hotel ballroom with a different name?
Some of it is a venue rental, and that's fine. Every Corsair venue is available for dry hire, with no required packages, if you just want the space as a blank canvas. What's different is what you can add: event planning, production, and turn-key packages, plus a portfolio of historic and one-of-a-kind spaces. We are not a hotel.
Planning events is only part of my job. I don't have time to coordinate five vendors.
That's exactly who we built the turn-key option for. Planning, catering, bar service, staffing and AV sit under one contract, with a dedicated account manager from first call to last guest. Tell us whether you're working with a planner, doing it yourself, or still deciding, and we'll step in only as far as you want us to.
Can you handle a group our size?
Likely, and the range is wide. Hook Hall holds up to 1,375 guests across the main hall and garden, with 500 seated banquet-style. The National Union Building spans six floors and up to 840 guests, with rooms from 50-person receptions to 150-guest floors with built-in projectors and screens. Kraken is 70,000 sq ft. Tell us your headcount on the tour and we'll match you to the right room.
Do we have to use your caterer? We have dietary needs and our own preferred vendors.
You can bring your own vendors unless a venue specifies otherwise, and we have a vetted preferred list we're happy to share. If you'd rather not coordinate, our packages include food, beverage and A/V. Dietary accommodations are routine for our team: one of our guests wrote that they were handled seamlessly.
What will this cost, and are there surprises?
We don't post a flat price, because it depends on the venue, the date, your guest count and how much support you want. Come to the tour with a date range and a rough headcount, and we'll talk through the options. Our staff is non-union, which means one less set of rules to plan around.
How far ahead do we need to book?
The sooner the better, especially for spring and fall dates. Some of our venues book out 6 to 12 months ahead. Speed to contract is one of our advantages, so once you've seen the space and picked your date, we move quickly.
Why Now

Spring and fall dates go first.

Some Corsair venues book out 6 to 12 months ahead, and spring and fall are the busiest seasons. If you're planning a 2027 annual meeting, offsite or holiday party, the best time to see the room is before you need the date.
